It started around one coffee table in apartment 6.

today thousands of young melburnians come together to share a love of wine (and each other)

Group of friends smiling and posing outdoors on a sunny day, standing on grass with trees and a patio umbrella in the background.

Every fortnight i shared a bottle with strangers and we talked.

we still do.

A wine club -

It was a simple idea: to learn about and enjoy wine with new friends without being a sommelier.

- but it was never really about the wine

It all started in my living room in the middle of heartbreak. It was a selfish mission: like many of us, I needed people who I could be there for, and who would be there for me. I needed somewhere to be. Turns out, other people did too.

People sitting around a table with wine glasses and menus, celebrating or enjoying a meal at a restaurant.

seriously unserious

We take wine seriously, but ourselves? Not so much.

Whether you know your way around a wine list or just know what you like, with us you are free to get curious, ask questions and enjoy good wine without the rules, pressure or pretension.

meet the founder

A woman with blonde wavy hair wearing a black dress, smiling with red lipstick, holding two glasses of white wine at a crowded bar or party.

With a background in experience design, marketing, counselling, and absolutely no formal wine credentials, I started hosting silly little social wine tastings in my living room (though I have levelled up my quallies since!).

Since then, I am a Wine Show Australia radio host, write a fortnightly wine Substack and run this incredible community.

I still don't claim to be a wine expert, but I like to think I know a thing or two.

We are all learning together and wine is meant to be fun and I can’t wait to meet you.

Outside of wine, I:

  • have unnecessarily strong opinions about things that don't matter

  • will happily roast you a chicken if you ask

  • wear red lipstick often

  • will probably hug you when we meet

  • am told I have a resting bitch face but I'm actually quite nice!!

  • have a greyhound called Rosie, and yes, I will show you photos.
